MSBOA DISTRICT VI MIDDLE SCHOOL HONOR BAND HOSTED BY ANDREWS UNIVERSITY-- HOWARD PERFORMING ARTS CENTER MONDAY, MARCH 25, 2019
Each individual school represented must have their Band Director accompany their students.
Band Directors attending the festival are not required to pay the registration fee. Lunch and dinner will be provided free of charge to Band Directors.
Any other adults attending the festival will need to pay the $35.00 registration fee. All fees are payable to your particular school. Band Directors are to have ONE single check payable to “Treasurer, MSBOA District VI” to cover the cost of all attendees. This check is due by March 1st.
Band Directors/Chaperones are expected to attend all rehearsals, meals, and activities throughout the festival day. Let the coordinator know if you are unable to be there for the full day so plans can be adjusted accordingly.
Band Directors may be asked to run up to two sectionals during the festival.
Band Directors/Chaperones are expected to attend to personal needs of students attending the festival. The festival director and other festival personnel will need to focus on getting the music ready for the performance and will not be able to deal with individual student needs.
Students will be given breaks from rehearsals. Please try to keep all other breaks to a minimum so that we can get the maximum effectiveness out of every rehearsal. Should an emergency arise, it will be handled accordingly.
Band Directors/Chaperones are expected to have parent contact information as well as emergency contact information for each student in attendance in case of emergency.
Band Directors are expected to have some emergency supplies on hand such as reeds and oil, should the need arise. Should a need for supplies such as reeds, oil, etc., or a need for an instrument repair arise during the festival, please get in touch with the festival coordinator as quickly as possible.
